In the afternoon of February 25th, 2023, Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto held the "Praise for Venerable Master Hsing Yun, the founder of Fo Guang Shan." Nearly 200 BLIA Toronto Chapter members came with gratitude, followed the Venerables chanting the Praise of the Buddha’s Light, the Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra, and songs of the Sounds of the Human World, remembering and praising Venerable Master.

On behalf of the Toronto Fo Guang people, the Buddha’s Light Choir of Toronto sang three Buddhist songs: "The Song of Fo Guang Shan," " Singing Praises to the Master" and the "Buddha’s Light Verse," to thank Venerable Master for founding Fo Guang Shan and promoting Humanistic Buddhism worldwide, so that overseas disciples have a place to learn about Buddhism.

While Venerable Chueh Fan led all Venerables and audience to sing the "Song of the Dharma Propagator," “Praise to our Venerable Master"and "Farewell Song" and especially when the abbess, Venerable Chueh Fan read the "Prayers and Wishes for the Most Venerable Hsing Yun of Fo Guang Shan," the audience cannot help but shed tears.

Venerable Chueh Fan pointed out that the reason to hold the "Praise for Venerable Master Hsing Yun" was following what the Master mentioned in his open letter "An Honest Revelation." He said, "Buddhist songs chosen from the “Sounds of the Human World” may be sung by those who miss me.” We sang to praise and bid farewell to the Venerable Master, and we shall follow the teachings of the Venerable Master.

Venerable Chueh Fan also shared "The Top Ten Construction Causes and Conditions of Fo Guang Shan " from "The Complete Works of Venerable Master Hsing Yun." She encouraged everyone to apply Buddhist teachings in daily life and continue promoting "Humanistic Buddhism" in Toronto.
