On Saturday afternoon, December 17, BLIA Toronto Mississauga Subchapter 3 and 4 held their annual general meeting at FGS Temple of Toronto. There were 165 people who attended the event. In addition to the work report and financial report, the 2023-2024 Subchapter President and Committee Members were introduced. Ben Fung, the new president, also talked about the coming year’s activities including tree planting for environmental protection, summer trip, etc.

There were various performances before the start of dinner. The Buddha’s Light Choir sang several songs. A group of subchapter members performed a short musical - the Buddhist story "Four Ladies" and another member entertained everyone with a solo Cantonese opera.

There were many types of food at the dinner party. Most of the members brought their own eco-friendly tableware in accordance with the environmental notice from the subchapters. Everyone enjoyed the lucky draws and games with wonderful prizes and was very excited. In the end, the Buddha’s Light Choir sent off the members with the song "Buddha Light Shines on You". Everyone went home with blessings and light.
