On December 17th, Fo Guang Shan Toronto Dragon and Lion Dance Team hosted the “2023 Year-End Talent Show” celebrating the completion of this year's training program. Nearly 150 individuals joyfully participated, including coaches, students, and parents. Venerable Chueh Fan, the Abbess of Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto, along with Venerable Zhi Guan and Venerable Miao Tsun attended the event.

Venerable Chueh Fan inspired the students to embody the majestic spirit of dragons and lions, strive for improvement, and determinted to do their best. She also presented certificates of appreciation to four parents who have actively involved in volunteering for the team.

Under the guidance of team leader Tom Ly, the Dragon and Lion Dance Team has seen a steady increase in the number of students, ranging from 5 to 18 years old. The group showcased impressive performances in drumming, dragon and lion dancing,and martial arts during the gathering. They demonstrated significant progress in their learning.

After the performances, parents shared their diverse culinary delights, rich desserts, and refreshing fruit beverages. Team leader Tom Ly organized a special gift raffle, bringing surprises and joy to all members.
