To kick off another exciting semester, 2022 Toronto Buddha’s Light Children's Class held a virtual Temple Tour on February 27, 2022. The tour was filled with knowledge and the many sights you could see at the temple during the Lunar New Year. The meeting, which was held on Zoom, with nearly 40 members and teachers of the Children and Youth Dharma classes joining. 

The tour followed a schedule that mainly consisted of video and multiple presentations in between. There were 3 sections of the video and 3 corresponding presentations. The first presentation was done on Master Hsing Yun’s Wise Words For the Year by the Children Dharma Class Senior Group. The next presentation was done by the Youth Dharma Class on the reasons as to why we make offerings, the types of offerings there are as well as how to do them. The last presentation featured the Wishing Tree in the Temple and New Year’s Resolutions by the Children Dharma Class Junior Group.  

Behind the actual meeting, teachers and teacher’s assistants worked hard for weeks to construct their presentations and coordinate the whole tour itself, having multiple Zoom meetings to make sure the event goes well. Because of their hard work, we would like to thank the teachers, the assistants, and everyone who attended the tour for having all of us unite, and making this event possible in the first place.
