Toronto YAD Climb CN Tower for Nature

Toronto YAD, after three years of dedicated preparation, participated in the "CN Tower Climb 2023 For Nature" event on April 16th, 2023, and successfully raised $1,510 in sponsorship funds for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). This contribution will help WWF goals of the preservation of natural resources and global wildlife.

The CN Tower Climb 2023, organized by the World Wildlife Fund, marked the organization’s first event since the COVID outbreak. The climb was an opportunity for participants to support nature conservation efforts while challenging themselves to ascend the 1,776 steps of the CN Tower. Six members of Toronto YAD arrived early at the base of the CN Tower, completed registration, and began warming up to prepare for the ascend. Their excitement was palpable as they embarked on the climb as they were determined to reach new heights and set personal records.

The funds of $1,510 raised by Toronto YAD will support the World Wildlife Fund Canada to achieve its 10-year goals. These goals involve restoring at least one million hectares of degraded habitats, protecting, and managing at least 100 million hectares of diverse ecosystems, and reducing carbon emission into the atmosphere. By contributing to these efforts, Toronto YAD is helping to create a more promising future for nature and wildlife and ensuring their long-term survival.
