In response to the "2022 Fo Guang Shan North America One Day Retreat," a total of 105 people in Toronto signed up to participate, of which 66 returned to Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto to practice, while the rest practiced at home through the Internet.

On July 2, the beautiful afternoon sunshine warmly welcomed teachers and teaching assistants (TA) of the Buddha’s Light Children Dharma Class to the FGS Temple of Toronto for a two-day long “workshop” style training. The participants were delighted to have the opportunity to experience Buddhist cultivations and lifestyles throughout the training. The workshops aim to equip everyone with the tools and skills needed for facilitating Children Dharma classes suited to children’s needs.

Buddha's Light International Association (BLIA) Toronto Chapter hosted a "Family Fun Day" to celebrate Father’s Day on June 19th. BLIA members were invited to come to the FGS Temple of Toronto to enjoy the celebration together. Various excellent performances and delicious vegetarian food were the main attractions.

The “2022 Global Veg-revival Virtual Community Run (VEGRUN)” begins on the 18th in North America. It has started running in major cities in the United States and Canada. This VEGRUN activity is jointly organized by the International Buddha's Light Association (BLIA) and the Pure Green Foundation. In Toronto, more than 300 runners participated and ran 600 kilometres. All participants demonstrated their full support for charitable organizations, vegetarianism, and environmental sustainability.

Since the pandemic measures have been easing in Ontario, the 6th Meadowvale Scouts Group has also resumed its meeting and activities. On June 5th, the group hosted a regular monthly flag-raising ceremony at the front parking lot of the temple. Venerable Chueh Fan, the Abbess of Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto, was invited to represent the Medal of Good Service and Bar to the Medal of Good Service awards to 6 scouts leaders respectively. The leaders were, Venture leaders, Mai Chau (7 years), Cathy Wong (9 years) and Ivan Wong (9 years), awarded the Medal of Good Service. David Leung and Joanna Leung, both Cub leaders, served the group for over 25 years, and Scout leader Barry Kwong (17 years), three of them were awarded the Bar to the Medal of Good Service. 

The Interfaith Community Breakfast 2022 was held on June 1, Wednesday, at Kitchener Market, an outdoor market in downtown Kitchener. More than 150 religious and community representatives attended, showing gratitude, mutual love, support and encouragement in the music and blessings of various religions. The Theme of this year's interfaith community breakfast was "Creating a Place to Call Home." Venerable Chueh Fan, the Abbess of Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto, was invited to participate and represent Buddhism to give encouragement and blessing.
